The HDC01.1-A100N-PL02-01-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDC DuraDrive Controllers series. It forms the common DC bus supply and braking stage for multi-axis servo systems, converting plant mains into regulated intermediate-circuit power. It also dissipates surplus energy generated during rapid deceleration in automated machining, packaging, and material-handling lines. It is intended for coordinated servo platforms with multiple connected axes.

The controller delivers continuous bleeder dissipation of 0.5 kW, which is the amount of regenerative heat it can remove on a continuous basis. Under an 8 kHz switching pattern, the power section supplies 21 A of continuous current, while a lower 4 kHz carrier raises that continuous capability to 40 A. An intermediate-circuit capacity of 4.7 mF smooths the rectified voltage and reduces ripple for the connected inverters. With a mains input of 400 V, the module can feed 6.0 kW into the DC bus, and the permissible output frequency for downstream drives extends up to 400 Hz. That stored energy helps stabilize the bus during load changes from connected inverters, and a soft-start resistor of 12 Ω limits inrush during power-up to protect the electrolytic capacitors.

The bleeder can absorb peaks of 57.4 kW for pulses up to 17 ms, and its cumulative energy rating is 31 kWs. Peak bus current reaches 100 A, and the permitted overvoltage margin is 40 V above nominal before shutdown. During charging, the limit of 7.0 A helps moderate capacitor stress, and the bleeder section handles short regenerative spikes before the protective shutdown threshold is reached. The housing weighs 35 kg, mainly because of the large heat-sink surfaces and power capacitors that let the unit store 7.2 kW of bus energy when the supply rises to 480 V.
