Product Description:
The HDC01.1-A100N-IB02-01-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDC DuraDrive Controllers series. It coordinates DC-bus energy flow and braking functions for servo axes in automated lines, linking the three-phase mains supply to connected inverters. It also provides regulated deceleration, soft-start sequencing, and over-energy protection that are essential for safe motion control in industrial automation.
A built-in brake resistor of 12 ohms converts kinetic energy into heat during controlled stops, and its continuous bleeder capacity is 0.5 kW, so steady regeneration can be handled without overheating. When the DC bus is maintained at 400 VAC, the unit processes up to 6.0 kW of power, while short bursts are absorbed by a bleeder stage rated at 57.4 kW when the link voltage rises to 830 VDC. Acceleration peaks are supported by an output surge limit of 100 A, helping downstream drives reach commanded torque quickly. All electronics are housed in an enclosure rated IP20, which is suitable for cabinet interiors rather than exposed shop-floor locations. An internal soft-start resistor restricts inrush current when the system is energized, and a dynamic brake circuit is present to stop motion if mains power is removed.
The controller can dissipate up to 31 kWs of stored energy before thermal shutdown, which sets the largest single regenerative event the system can absorb. Full performance is supported up to an installation height of 2000 m, with nominal output ratings referenced to 1000 m. Operation conforms to contamination degree 2 and is permitted in ambient air containing no more than 25 g/m³ of moisture and up to 95% relative humidity without condensation, supporting reliable service in sealed electrical enclosures.
