The HDC01.1-A100N-DN01-01-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDC DuraDrive Controllers series. It interfaces between a higher-level motion control system and the power stage that feeds servo or induction motors, governing torque, speed, and regeneration in automated conveyor lines, packaging stations, and material-handling cells. By monitoring the DC bus and networked fieldbus nodes, the unit supplies regulated energy, executes braking commands, and communicates diagnostic data so the connected drive system can respond predictably during changes in load, acceleration, and deceleration.
For continuous operation, the controller can source 21 A when its pulse-width modulation carrier is set to 8 kHz, or 40 A when the switching frequency is reduced to 4 kHz. Short transients are supported with a peak current of 100 A, giving additional headroom for rapid acceleration or brief shock loading. Motor speed commands are accommodated up to 400 Hz output frequency, while the DC link can deliver up to 6.0 kW of power at 400 V for compatible axis demands. A 4.7 mF bus capacitor stabilizes voltage during load changes, and a 12 Ω soft-start resistor limits inrush current when the unit powers up. Charging and holding functions draw 5.4 W, the cooling fan requires 45 W, and the logic interface at X1 consumes 26 W, which helps determine the required capacity of auxiliary power circuits.
Excess regenerative energy is managed by a continuous bleeder rated at 0.5 kW, with the bleeder stage able to absorb surges up to 57.4 kW. Total thermal capacity before protective shutdown is 31 kWs, and the internal bus voltage is limited to 30 V to protect communication electronics. A 121 Ω DeviceNet end resistor provides proper network termination, which supports stable data exchange between the controller and connected nodes during normal operation.
