The HDC01.1-A040N-IB02-01-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HDC DuraDrive Controllers series. The module converts incoming line power into a controlled DC bus and pulse-width-modulated output for induction or synchronous motors in packaging machines, conveyors, and automated assembly lines. It links to plant networks through the InterBus fieldbus, fitting into distributed control architectures and acting as the intermediary between motion commands issued by a PLC and the three-phase winding currents that drive the motor.
Heat is removed by natural convection, so no forced-air components are required. The power section supplies a continuous output of 40 A, and excess regenerative energy is routed through a bleeder rated at 11.5 kW to protect the DC link. That link is stabilized by a capacitance of 0.585 mF, which smooths voltage ripple during load transients. Motion commands arrive over the InterBus 2 interface, and optical fiber is the transmission medium used to reduce ground loops and electrical noise. An H1 seven-segment display provides numerical diagnostics for status indication and fault tracing.
