Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDrive Cs is a functional multi-protocol, compact drive system that addresses the increased need for an open and seamless design. The HCS01 drive converter series belongs to the IndraDrive Cs family. Applications of the HCS01 drive converters include handling and mounting systems, packaging and food machines, printing and paper converting machines, and machine tools.

The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-AW is an HCS drive converter model designed to be used with a BASIC UNIVERSAL control section. Its control communication module is the Multi-Ethernet module, which supports other protocols such as sercos III, PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT. This drive converter is fitted with an advanced control panel, which has a programming module function for programming the converter. The control panel has a single-line display that shows operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings. It has a slot for a micro SD memory card.

Any standard encoder type can be used with the HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-AW because of its multi-encoder interface. Supported encoders include the sin-cos encoder with Hiperface, the MSM motor encoder, the MS2N motor encoder, and the sin-cos encoder with EnDat 2.1. This multi-encoder interface allows its customization to suit specific functions and or different motors. The mains connection voltage for the HCS drive converter’s operation is a three-phase AC voltage that ranges from 200V to 500V. It is mounted into a control cabinet because of its compact size, where it is cooled by the internal air within the cabinet. This converter's Ingress protection rating is IP 20 according to the guidelines of DIN40 050, IEC 529, indicating that it is touch-proof and impenetrable to objects greater than 12mm in diameter.
