The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-S5-NN-FW is a modular drive controller. It is equipped with multiple slots that operators can use to install hardware modules of their choice. The controller is equipped with multiple factory-installed modules including a SERCOS III communication module, a Profibus module, a multi-encoder interface and a safe motion safety module. SERCOS III is a standard that is compatible with 100 Mbps Ethernet. The multi-encoder interface allows controller use with all standard encoder including Hiperface, EnDat2.1, EnDat2.2, TTL, SSI, MSM, BiSS C, sin/cos encoders and resolver. Safe motion monitoring is a safety function for monitoring and controlling parameters such as stopping, velocity, acceleration, and position. The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-S5-NN-FW delivers maximum 54 Amps output under optimal operating conditions. The input voltage range is 200 to 500 Volts AC (three-phase).

The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-S5-NN-FW controller works with a standard control panel. The control panel must be connected to the controller before the controller is switched on. Firmware for the controller is ordered separately from the hardware. The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-S5-NN-FW features an advanced control section. Bosch has designed the controller for convection cooling. The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-S5-NN-FW has an inlet for cool air at the bottom of its enclosure. The outlet for the heated air is located at the top of the controller enclosure. Appropriate spacing between devices is necessary for appropriate heat dissipation. The working temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Performance of the controller derates outside this specified temperature range. A variety of motor power cables, encoder cables, and hybrid cables (motor plus encoder) are available from Bosch. Other accessories that operators can order include mounting and connection accessories (HAS09), DC bus connector, battery box, replacement battery, hall sensor adapter box, and snap-on ferrite.
