They are typically used in machine tools, printing machines, handling and mounting systems, and food processing and packaging machines.

The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-FW is an HCS drive converter model with a maximum current rating of 54A. It is built for control sections in the ADVANCED range and allows switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, and 12kHz. Its compact size supports its convenient mounting within a control cabinet, which has an efficient internal cooling system. The drive converter belongs to the IP 20 protection category in line with EN 60529, indicating that it cannot be penetrated by potentially harmful solid external objects over 12mm. Its Multi-Ethernet module supports different Ethernet-based bus systems, including sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO.
