The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW is a HCS series industrial drive controller. It is designed and developed by Bosch Rexroth. The controller input voltage range is 110 to 230 Volts AC. The controller only accepts three-phase input. The rated output current is 3 Amps. The controller cools via natural convection. It accepts cool air and dissipates the heated air inside the cabinet. Therefore, either air conditioning or large cabinets are required for maintenance of ambient temperature. The controller has a modular architecture that allows installation of optional hardware modules. In addition to the integrated multi-encoder interface, the HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW features a safe torque off safety module. Safe torque off is a safety feature that turns off power on the drive output to prevent the motor from producing torque. The multi-encoder interface allows interfacing with all standard encoders (Hiperface, EnDat2.1, EnDat2.2, SSI, BiSS C, TTL, sin/cos, resolver, MSM encoder, MS2N encoder)

The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW is shipped with a standard control panel, and its firmware has to be ordered separately. The firmware version can be identified from the information listed on the firmware type plate. A type plate for the control panel and a type plate for the controller itself are also attached to the  HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW. Communication interface on the controller is SERCOS/EtherCat. The power section on the HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW requires 24 Volts DC control voltage input. The maximum inrush current at 24 Volts DC is 3.3 Amps and the pulse width is 2 milliseconds. The rated power consumption is 27 Watts. Only trained personnel should install and operate the HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW controller. Only approved accessories should be used with the controller.
