Its HCS drive converters are components of the drive system with high overload capacity. They are ideal for numerous applications, including machine tools, general automation, food processing and packaging machines, and printing machines.

The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a model of the compact drive converters in the HCS series of Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDrive Cs product range. It features two multi-encoder interfaces that support several standard encoders, including the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the MS2N motor encoder. These encoders have supply voltage requirements of 5V and 12V. The converter is compatible with BASIC UNIVERSAL control sections and other IndraDrive units. Its master communication interface is Multi-Ethernet, supporting Ethernet-based protocols including sercos III, PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT. It also has an integrated brake current measurement and monitoring function to protect it from damage.

Operating the HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW requires a three-phase supply voltage between 110V and 230V. Its safety technology module is Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents the drive from restarting unintentionally. The module is activated via two redundant 24V signals and is a cost-effective solution. According to EN 60529, the Ingress Protection rating of this HCS model is IP 20. This means that it is impenetrable to solid extrinsic objects like conductive dust. It is cooled by an internal airflow within its control cabinet and permits an ambient temperature between 0°C and 40°C. Like other IndraDrive components, it is a product of category C3 per IEC/EN 61800-3.
