One of these is the HCS drive converter used in machine tools and food processing and packaging machines.
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-DA-L3-NN-FW is one of the HCS drive converters manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It features Safe Torque Off (STO) as a safety technology module to prevent the motor’s unintentional startup. Based on its design, it has an IP 20 Ingress Protection rating since it does not permit the entry of solid extrinsic materials over 12mm. It is also compact and suitable for installation within a control cabinet where it is cooled via an internal cooling system involving natural convection. The ideal mounting position for the drive converter within this control cabinet is G1; hence, the generation of pockets of heat can be averted. This HCS model also supports control sections in the BASIC range.
A Multi-Ethernet module serves as the communication module in the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-DA-L3-NN-FW. It allows the drive controller to be integrated in different Ethernet field bus systems, including EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET IO, and sercos III. Like other HCS models, the drive converter also has a multi-encoder interface, allowing encoders with 5V and 12V supply voltages to be connected. These encoders include the MSM motor encoder, the MS2N motor encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. The designated mains connecting voltage for the HCS model is a three-phase AC voltage between 200V and 500V, while its maximum current is 18A. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m.
