Through the years, Bosch Rexroth has built a reputation for creating pacesetting drive and automation products. Its Rexroth IndraDrive drive system is composed of such products, one of which is the HCS drive converter. These highly versatile drive units are used in general automation, food and packaging machines, and the semiconductor industry.
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L3-NN-FW is a model of the HCS drive converters by Bosch Rexroth. It is compatible with control sections in the BASIC range and works with a three-phase mains voltage between 200V and 500V. Encoders with supply voltages of 5V and 12V can be connected to the drive converter. These include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the SHL02.1 Hall sensor box, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. The HCS model’s safety technology module is Safe Torque Off (STO), a cost-effective solution to prevent the drive from restarting unintentionally.
Ethernet field bus systems like PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, sercos III, and EtherCAT work with the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L3-NN-FW thanks to its Multi-Ethernet communication module. The drive converter’s maximum current rating is 18A and it weighs 2.10kg. It has a standard control panel with four operating keys and a single-line display. This user panel functions as a programming module and displays relevant information like operating states, command and error diagnoses and pending warnings. Hence, it is a useful tool for fault diagnosis and resolution. This HCS model also supports the use of firmware, but this must be ordered separately. With its compact size, it can be easily mounted in a control cabinet in the G1 position.
