Drive and motion control is one of many areas where Bosch Rexroth thrives effortlessly. Its IndraDrive drive system has components like servo motors, drive converters, and gearboxes. The HCS drive converters in this system are compact units with a broad spectrum of interfaces.
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-SB-NN-AW is a model of the HCS drive converters designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is operated with a three-phase AC mains connecting voltage ranging from 110V to 230V and has a maximum current rating of 13A. Heat elimination from the component is via forced air cooling. Its compact size allows its easy installation within a control cabinet where its mounting corresponds with the G1 style. Hence, natural convection supports the forced air currents for its cooling and prevents the formation of pockets of heat. Like other HCS models, the drive converter belongs to the IP 20 protection category according to EN 60529, as it does not admit solid external materials with diameters over 12mm.
Two multi-encoder interfaces are present in the HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-SB-NN-AW. They support the standard encoder types with supply voltage ratings of 5V and 12V. These include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, and the MSM motor encoder. The HCS model is equipped with Safe Motion Bus as its safety technology module and a Multi-Ethernet module for communication. It can be integrated in different Ethernet field bus systems, such as PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, sercos III, and EtherNet/IP. The allowed switching frequencies for its operation are 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz. It should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40oC.
