Bosch Rexroth has many functional drive and motion control units in its product portfolio. It is the designer of the HCS drive converters in its IndraDrive drive system, featuring a unique compact build. They are mostly used in machine tools, general automation, and printing machines.
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-L4-NN-FW is a drive converter in Bosch Rexroth’s HCS series. It supports control sections in the BASIC range and works with a three-phase AC voltage between 110V and 230V. For communication with other system components, it uses a Multi-Ethernet communication module. This makes it compatible with different Ethernet field bus systems, including EtherNet/IP, PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, and sercos III. Diagnostic LEDs on the control section serve as indicators of the operating states of these bus systems. The drive converter features STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), which protect users during its operation. It can accommodate a maximum current of 13A and switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz.
Solid extrinsic materials over 12mm cannot penetrate the HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-L4-NN-FW to cause damage. Hence, it has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 20 according to EN 60529. The drive converter also has two multi-encoder interfaces, allowing its connection to many encoder types. These include the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track. They have supply voltage ratings of 5V and 12V. Like other HCS drive converters, this model is equipped with a standard control panel, whose four keys are used to trigger simple commands. The single-line display of the control panel shows the device’s operating states, command and error diagnoses and pending warnings.
