The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-FW is a model of Bosch Rexroth’s drive converters used to control electric motors and monitor their operation. It is built for control sections in the ADVANCED range and tolerates a maximum current of 13A. Its two multi-encoder interfaces allow its connection to different types of encoders with supply voltage ratings of 5V and 12V. Examples of such encoders are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MS2M motor encoder, the MSK motor encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. The drive converter is cooled by forced cooling air, whose currents are supported by natural convection to prevent the formation of pockets of heat. To achieve this, it can be mounted according to the G1 mounting style.
Integrating the HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-FW in various field bus systems is made possible by its Multi-Ethernet module. It has LEDs that provide information on the status of the communication system, making them useful for fault identification and resolution. The drive converter supports firmware use, but it must be operated separately. It also has a standard control panel whose single-line display shows its operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings. This HCS model has an IP 20 Ingress Protection rating in line with EN 60529 as it does not permit the entry of solid external materials over 12mm. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above mean sea level.
