Bosch Rexroth’s HCS drive converters are compatible with a wide range of Ethernet-based communications protocols without the need for hardware modifications. These control units are commonly used in machine tools, printing machines, and handling and mounting equipment.
The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-S5-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth drive converter in the HCS series featuring Safe Motion as a safety technology module. It is equipped with a standard control panel on which its operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings can be viewed. This user panel has a single-line display and four operating keys and works as a programming module. The drive converter is impervious to solid extrinsic objects with diameters over 12mm; hence, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 20 according to EN 60529. It is also a product of Category C3 in line with IEC 61800-3. This is why it is recommended for use in industrial areas only. When used in a public low-voltage mains supplying residential areas, additional measures of interference suppression must be adopted.
Standard encoders with supply voltages of 5V and 12V are designed to work with the HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-S5-NN-FW, thanks to its multi-encoder interface. They include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the MS2M motor encoder, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1. The drive converter’s communication module is Multi-Ethernet, permitting its integration in various bus systems, such as EtherNet/IP, sercos III, EtherCAT, and PROFINET IO. This HCS model accommodates a maximum current of 9A with switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, or 16kHz. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above mean sea level.
