All components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system by Bosch Rexroth are designed to ensure seamless motion control. The HCS drive converters by the engineering giant are highly efficient units for controlling electric motors and monitoring their operation. Their typical applications cover machine tools and handling and mounting systems.
The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-ET-EC-EM-NN-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth drive converter in the HCS series with an encoder emulation interface. This allows the emulation of absolute value and incremental encoder signals galvanically isolated from the circuit board for further evaluation by a control unit. It also has a Multi-Ethernet communication module; thus, it is compatible with different Ethernet field bus systems such as sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or PROFINET IO. Its operation accommodates a maximum current of 6A while its required mains connecting voltage is a three-phase AC value between 110V and 230V. Given its compact size, it can be easily installed in a control cabinet per the G1 mounting style, where it is cooled via natural convection.
Several standard encoders can be connected to the HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-ET-EC-EM-NN-NN-FW thanks to its multi-encoder interface. Some of these encoders are the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MS2N motor encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. The drive converter is equipped with a user-friendly standard control panel with four keys and a single-line display. Relevant information like the system’s operation states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings are displayed on this user panel. As a product of Category C3 per IEC 61800-3, it is recommended for use in industrial areas only. When used in residential areas, interference suppression measures must be employed.
