Bosch Rexroth is the designer of the HCS drive converters used to achieve seamless motion control with other components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. Their applications include machine tools, food processing and packaging machines, and handling and mounting systems.

The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-ET-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW is one of the compact drive converters of the HCS series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its versatile multi-encoder interface supports all the standard motor encoders, including the MS2N motor encoder, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the MSK motor encoder, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1. It also comes with a Multi-Ethernet communication module, allowing integration in different Ethernet field bus systems such as sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or PROFINET IO. Another interface in the drive converter is the Digital/analog I/O extension. It can accommodate a maximum current of 6A, with a mains connecting voltage requirement that ranges between 110V and 230V.

Heat dissipation from the HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-ET-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW is achieved via natural convection. Since it has a compact construction, its installation can easily be done within a control cabinet where a cooling airflow exists to convey the heat out. The ideal control section for the drive converter is in the ADVANCED range. Its operation states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings can be viewed on its standard control panel with four keys and a single-line display. It also has LEDs that aid fault identification and resolution. The drive converter can be used with firmware, but this must be ordered as a separate sub-item. To maintain its optimum long-term operation, the ambient temperature at the site of operation should not exceed 40^oC.
