Bosch Rexroth designed the drive units of the IndraDrive Cs system to control electric motors and monitor their operations. One of these is the compact HCS drive converter with impressive flexibility for application-specific use.
The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-NN-NN-FW is a drive converter of the HCS series with a standard control panel. Designed to function as a programming module, this control panel has four keys used to commission the drive converter. It also has a single-line display for viewing operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings. This HCS model requires a three-phase AC mains voltage ranging from 110V to 230V for its operation. It accommodates a maximum current of 6A and supports switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz. According to EN 60529, it has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 20. This is because it is dustproof and prevents the penetration of solid extrinsic objects with a diameter of 12mm or more.
With its multi-encoder interface, several standard encoders with supply voltages of 5V and 12V can be connected to the HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-NN-NN-FW. Some of these encoders are the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the MSM motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the MSK motor encoder. The drive converter utilizes natural convection for heat dissipation within a control cabinet, where it is easily mounted thanks to its compact size. It also uses a sercos III master for cross communication and is compatible with several Ethernet-based protocols. This is due to its Multi-Ethernet module for bus systems like sercos III, PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m.
