Compact drive converters like those in the HCS series by Bosch Rexroth are designed to control electric motors and monitor their operations. They can be tailored to suit application-specific use by the addition of options.
The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-L4-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth drive converter of the HCS series, which accommodates a maximum current of 6A. It features a standard control panel that functions as a programming module and tool for fault resolution. This user panel has four operating keys and a single-line display where its operating states and pending warnings can be viewed. It is cooled by natural convection and is designed to be mounted in a control cabinet where this heat dissipation mechanism takes place. The recommended mounting style for the drive converter is G1 to prevent heat pocket formation within the cabinet. It is also protected from the penetration of dust and other external solid objects with diameters of 12mm or more. Hence, its Ingress Protection rating per EN 60529 is IP 20.
Standard encoders like the MSM motor encoder, the MSK motor encoder, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 can be connected to the HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-L4-NN-FW. This is due to its multi-encoder interface for encoders with supply voltages of 5V and 12V. It also has a Multi-Ethernet module, allowing Ethernet-based protocols such as sercos III, PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT.
