Bosch Rexroth's HCS converters are highly versatile and compact units with multiple functions. They are characterized by innovative multi-protocol support, a multi-encoder interface, and a wide power range from 100 W to 9 kW. These drive converters are used to operate IndraDyn motors and third-party motors like rotary and linear asynchronous motors and synchronous motors.
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-E-S3-EC-EP-NN-NN-FW is a compact drive converter in the HCS series designed for ECONOMY control units. Its master communication is via the sercos III interface, and it supports multiple standard encoders due to its multi-encoder interface. These encoders include the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MS2N motor encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. The converter functions with a three-phase mains connection voltage between 200V to 500Vm, with an allowance of ±10%, and has a maximum current of 5A. It is used to automate industrial processes such as machine tools, food and packaging machines, printing machines, and the semiconductor industry.
Heat elimination in the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-E-S3-EC-EP-NN-NN-FW is via internal air cooling, which gives filtered and clean air to the control unit.
