Control units by Bosch Rexroth are used to control electric motors and monitor their operations. One of these is the IndraDrive Cs drive converter built for single-axis applications. Its typical applications include machine tools, robotics, machine applications, and printing machines.
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-L4-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth drive converter in the HCS series. It is cooled by an internal cooling mechanism within a control cabinet in which it can easily be mounted due to its compact build. Its operation requires a three-phase AC mains voltage ranging from 200V to 500V. It also has a maximum current rating of 5A and an IP 20 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529. This means that it cannot be penetrated by solid external objects with a diameter of 12mm. The multi-encoder interface on this HCS model supports encoder systems with 5V and 12V supply voltages. Some of these encoders are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MSM motor encoder, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, and the SHL02.1 Hall sensor box.
A Multi-Ethernet master communication module makes the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-L4-NN-FW compatible with different Ethernet-based interfaces. These include sercos III, PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT. The drive converter is also equipped with an Engineering port and is compatible with firmware, but this must be ordered separately. User safety is guaranteed with the safety technology options in this device, namely STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control). It has a standard control panel with a single-line display which can be used as a programming module. The control panel has four keys that can be used to trigger simple commands and perform diagnostics.
