Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDrive Cs drive converters are compact control units in the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. They are available in different specifications with a wide range of interfaces to make them suitable for application-specific use. Some target applications of the drive converters are seen in printing machines, the semi-conductor industry, and machine tools.
The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW is one of the drive converters of the HCS01 series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It features a master communication module for sercos III and EtherCAT field bus systems and supports control sections in the ECONOMY range. Because of its compact size, it can be conveniently installed in control cabinets for space conservation and better protection. The drive converter is cooled by an internal cooling system within this control cabinet. It has a multi-encoder interface where standard encoders with supply voltage ratings of 5V and 12V can be connected. They include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the MSM motor encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track.
Like other components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system, the HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW belongs to category C3 per IEC 61800-3. This means that it is best suited for operation in industrial areas; if operated in residential areas, radio interference suppression measures must be adopted. It allows switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz and has an insulation resistance of 10.00 MOhm at 500V DC. According to EN 60529, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 20, indicating that it is protected from solid extrinsic materials less than 12mm in diameter. In addition, it is equipped with a standard control panel and uses firmware, which should be ordered separately.
