Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat designs the FVCA01.2-7K50-3P4-MDA-LP-NNNN-02VRS frequency converter for the FVCA Frequency Converters series, line 01. It is intended for variable-speed control of three-phase induction motors in applications that require adjustable speed and stable process control. The unit is supplied in design revision 2. Its housing uses frame size B, measures 150 mm in width, 157 mm in depth, and 330 mm in height, and it is rated IP20 for indoor panel mounting. Local adjustments are made through an onboard potentiometer, an integrated PID loop maintains process variables, and a ModBus interface links the converter to higher-level controllers.
At the electrical level, the converter supplies 7.5 kW of mechanical output from an apparent capacity of 11.0 kVA when it is energized from a nominal 400 V mains supply. It draws a maximum input current of 23.5 A and delivers 17.0 A to the motor, while the permissible supply range is 3 AC 380 to 480 V with a -15% to +10% tolerance. Selectable control methods include scalar U/f, sensorless vector control, and full field-oriented control. The converter can produce torque down to 0 Hz across a 1:100 sensorless vector speed range. An integrated brake chopper works with an external resistor to absorb regenerative energy, and Class C3 filtering supports use in industrial environments.
For fine tuning, the default switching frequency is 8.0 kHz, which helps provide smooth current waveforms and enables an FOC startup torque of 200% at 0 Hz for heavy static loads. Speed references can be set with 0.01 % digital accuracy and trimmed in steps of 0.01 Hz, supporting precise adjustment through the local keypad. The 4.9 kg assembly keeps the converter compact for panel layouts. The integrated operator panel allows direct access to settings without add-on modules.
