Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the FECP01.2-30K0-3P400-A-BN-MODB-01V01, a frequency converter in the FEC Frequency Converters series. The device conditions power for induction machines used in pump and fan duty, allowing a control system to vary speed while maintaining stable torque across the working range. It provides closed-loop motor regulation suited to continuous industrial service. This type of converter is commonly used where airflow or fluid movement must track changing process demand without running the motor at full speed at all times. Closed-loop control also helps the motor respond more predictably to load variation during long operating cycles.
The power section accepts a 3-phase input across an operating window of 3 AC 380 to 480 V, which places it in the 400 VAC class. At nominal conditions, the inverter delivers 30 kW of mechanical output, and internal gate circuitry communicates with the host controller over ModBus, allowing direct register access without discrete I/O. The enclosure carries an IP20 protection rating, so it must be installed in a cabinet with controlled airflow. Because the unit is not intended for open mounting, the surrounding cabinet must provide separation from dust and accidental contact. Mechanical Size 4 construction and Design 2 improve heat dissipation, while the first-generation control board is supplied without a potentiometer so setpoint handling remains fully digital. High-durability components help the unit tolerate temperature cycling in process duty.
The overload channel allows the drive to sustain 120% for 60 seconds during short demand peaks. After that period, it returns to continuous operation at 105% for 60 minutes, which supports extended duty during partial blockages or heavy starts in fluid systems. An External brake chopper port is provided so excess regenerative energy can be diverted to a resistor bank instead of returning to the mains. This arrangement is useful when decelerating rotating loads can force energy back into the DC section. The cabinet-mounted format uses a big panel size, and the housing spans 290 mm across the rail to match switchgear spacing.
