The DM 15K 6311-D is a drive inverter with a digital closed loop. It provides a control for the current, spends, and position. It is manufactured and designed by Rexroth Indramat. The features of this drive inverter include modular structures, multiple functions, different interfaces, and supply and axis modules. With these drive inverters, various motors can be operated. For small powers, a stand-alone inverter with a connected supply unit is made which have the same interfaces and same functions. The advantages of the DM 15K 6311-D include an integrated and redundant two-channel safety structure with an RSU certificate, automatic commissioning via “electronic rating plates” of drive motors and modules, and supply modules for supply-friendly infeed and regeneration.

The DM 15K 6311-D comes with one more unique feature, i.e., different functions can be chosen irrespective of the mechanical option. With this feature, the system performance of the inverter can be coordinated with the interface. To install the Servodyn modules, the surrounding environment must be free from metal vapors, acid, lye, etc. The storage temperature range of the DM 15K 6311-D is 0° C to +45° C and the derating temperature range is between 46° C to + 55° C; however, the storage temperature range lies between -25° C to +70° C. IP 20 according to EN 60 529 is the degree of protection of this drive inverter, and the climatic category is 3K3 according to EN 60 721. The resistance to shock of the DM 15K 6311-D 15 g iaw DIN IEC 68-2-27 with no functional disturbance and the required installation altitude needed is ≤ 1000, above the sea level and derating up to maximum 3000 m above the sea level.
