Product Description:
The DKS01.2-W100A-RA01-02-FW is a digital servo drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It sits between a CNC or PLC and the motor, where it processes motion commands through the DAE 1.1 interface card and regulates phase currents from resolver feedback supplied by a DSF sensor. An integral dynamic brake dissipates regenerated energy during deceleration, and the internal logic also controls an external holding brake when the axis must remain stopped. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit relies on passive heat dissipation and has standard noise emission for general-purpose automation cells.
It delivers a continuous motor phase current of 50 A, which supports steady torque output during sustained operation, and it can supply up to 100 A for short acceleration bursts when the load briefly demands more current. Excess DC-bus energy is routed through the built-in bleeder resistor, rated at 0.5 kW continuously and capable of absorbing 18 kW in short peaks, so rapid deceleration can be handled without separate braking hardware. The internal link circuit operates at 300 V DC, a level matched to compatible Indramat supply modules and suited to shared bus arrangements. These ratings set the operating limits of the drive during repeated acceleration and braking cycles.
The power section draws 11 kVA from a three-phase mains supply of 3 x 230 V AC, and the switching devices operate at 4 kHz to balance current smoothness with switching loss. Internal dissipation is 480 W, so the housing needs cabinet space where convection air can rise freely, especially in installations up to 1000 m above sea level. The housing has an IP10 rating, so the unit must be mounted behind a cabinet door to prevent incidental contact with energized parts. Version 2 supports the integrated brake control and maintains resolver-based motion regulation when multiple DKS axes share a common DC bus.
