Product Description:
The DKS01.2-W100A-DS24-04-FW drive is a digital servo amplifier produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It regulates torque, speed, and position of synchronous or induction motors in automated machinery by converting incoming three-phase power into a controlled DC link and pulse-width-modulated output. As an intelligent unit, it exchanges status data and analog reference signals with the system controller to support accurate, repeatable motion in packaging, handling, and general automation equipment. It is intended for machine axes that require coordinated acceleration, stable speed regulation, and consistent response during position changes.
The drive accepts a three-phase input of 3 x 230 V AC and draws a continuous phase current of 100 A at nominal loading. Inside the unit, a 300 V DC bus stores regenerated energy, and excess energy is dissipated through a bleeder circuit that can absorb a momentary 18 kW. Command channels include ±10 V DC analog velocity or torque references, and the front end provides a buffered output range together with a 4 mA monitoring signal for external indicators. This arrangement lets the controller respond quickly to changing load conditions while keeping the analog interface straightforward. Heat generated by semiconductor switching is removed through natural convection, and the noise emission is standard for the series.
The servo drive can deliver a peak axis demand of 28 A and supports motor connections up to 75 m from the cabinet without compromising current regulation. Total power loss is specified at 480 W, so the unit is best installed in a ventilated enclosure, while the housing itself has an IP10 protection class. Control wiring includes a Bb relay contact rated at 24 V DC and 1 A, and the X9 output supplies 24 V DC at 625 mA for field sensors. These interface connections support auxiliary devices such as sensor circuits and status signaling inside the control cabinet. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m elevation, and version 2 of the unit has a mass of 11 kg.
