Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W100A-RL03-01-FW servo drive is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It functions as the power and control stage between a machine controller and a synchronous motor, using resolver feedback to close the motion loop. In automated packaging, printing, or handling lines, the drive supplies regulated current and monitors position so that axes accelerate, decelerate, and hold register precisely. Resolver feedback gives the control loop a continuous rotor position signal, allowing the drive to correct motion errors during speed changes and short dwell periods. This makes the unit suitable for machines that require repeatable motion without a separate controller at the motor.
This Version 1 unit draws a three-phase input of 3 x 230 V AC and rectifies it to a bus voltage of 300 V. The inverter section switches at 4 kHz, delivering up to 100 A of continuous output current to the motor. During rapid deceleration, the internal bleeder can absorb a peak of 18 kW, while passive heat dissipation removes the generated heat without forced cooling. The drive also uses program memory with 3000 blocks and a resolver encoder interface for motion feedback processing. Its dimensions are 373 mm high, 170 mm wide, and 260 mm deep, and it requires at least 80 mm of free space above and below for ventilation. Those clearances help maintain vertical airflow through the cabinet and reduce heat buildup near adjacent equipment.
The continuous bleeder capacity is 0.5 kW, and the maximum load power is 11 kVA. Overall power loss is limited to 480 W, which helps keep cabinet heat calculations manageable during normal operation. The housing has an IP 10 rating and is intended for installation inside an electrical enclosure rather than exposed use on the machine. Its open-frame layout fits cabinets where airflow moves from bottom to top, and the drive performs digital servo control within that protected space. This arrangement uses the enclosure for external protection while the drive handles current regulation and motion control inside the cabinet.
