It regulates torque, speed, and position for compatible MDD synchronous motors used in automated stations. By rectifying a three-phase mains supply into a controlled DC link and generating pulse-width-modulated output phases, the unit forms the electrical bridge between a motion controller and a mechanical axis. This arrangement lets the drive respond quickly to command changes during indexing, synchronized transfer, and general positioning tasks. It is suited for packaging, material handling, and assembly equipment where repeatable motion is required across changing loads.

The servo drive remains fully rated up to 1000 m above sea level, and derating begins above that height when ambient temperature exceeds 55 °C.
