The DKS01.1-W100A-DS50-00-FW is a digital servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It regulates torque, speed, and position for compatible MDD synchronous motors used in automated stations. By rectifying a three-phase mains supply into a controlled DC link and generating pulse-width-modulated output phases, the unit forms the electrical bridge between a motion controller and a mechanical axis. This arrangement lets the drive respond quickly to command changes during indexing, synchronized transfer, and general positioning tasks. It is suited for packaging, material handling, and assembly equipment where repeatable motion is required across changing loads.

The drive connects to a three-phase supply of 3 x 230 AC, and at full load it draws 28 A while requiring up to 11 kVA from the distribution panel. Inside, the rectifier sustains a DC bus at 300 V DC, which gives the inverter stable voltage for rapid current changes commanded through the resolver-based control loop. Regenerative energy is directed to an integrated bleeder resistor that can dissipate 0.5 kW continuously and tolerate peaks of 18 kW during abrupt deceleration, helping prevent DC-link overvoltage when the axis returns energy to the drive. When operating at full electrical load, the unit releases about 480 W of heat, so cabinet ventilation must remove that thermal load while humidity remains within class F limits. This heat output should be considered when sizing enclosure airflow and spacing adjacent modules. The servo drive remains fully rated up to 1000 m above sea level, and derating begins above that height when ambient temperature exceeds 55 °C. Noise emission is classified as standard for this drive type, which suits typical industrial cabinet installations.
