Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W100A-DS46-01-FW is a closed-loop drive module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. In an automation cell, it supplies controlled three-phase power to matched servo motors so a PLC can command torque, velocity, and position with repeatable accuracy. The closed-loop design allows motor feedback to be processed inside the unit, helping the drive correct motion as load conditions change. By combining power electronics, braking functions, and self-diagnostics in one housing, the unit reduces cabinet wiring and helps manage regenerated energy during deceleration.
During operation, the drive uses a nominal supply of 3 x 230 V AC and a pulse-width-modulated output stage that switches at 4 kHz. The internal DC link operates at 300 V, and the bleeder resistor dissipates up to 0.5 kW continuously and as much as 18 kW for short peaks during rapid deceleration. The rated output current is 100 A. The module permits a maximum input line current of 28 A, and total power loss at maximum load is limited to 480 W. Self-monitoring includes a diagnostics loop that sources 4 mA, while the X9 external contact can switch 24 V DC at 625 mA to signal a controller. The noise emission is standard, and cooling is handled through passive heat dissipation.
Continuous duty is allowed at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, and installation is permitted up to 1000 m before derating is required. The IP10 enclosure is intended for cabinet installation, so the unit should be protected from direct contact and contaminants outside an enclosure. Parameters are stored in nonvolatile memory, which keeps saved settings available after power cycles. Because cooling depends on passive heat exchange, the cabinet layout should leave open space around the housing so heat can leave the surfaces without obstruction.
