The DKS01.1-W100A-DL14-01-FW is a digital servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. In automated machinery, the unit converts fixed-frequency mains power into regulated motor currents so that CNC or PLC systems can command precise velocity and position profiles. Parameter memory stores motion settings and returns diagnostic data to higher-level controllers, which helps the axis respond consistently during start, stop, and speed changes. This makes the drive suitable for servo applications that require repeatable control in packaging, handling, and machine-tool systems.

The drive accepts a three-phase mains feed of 3 x 230 V AC and internally rectifies it to a DC link stabilized at 300 V DC. Under rated conditions, the power stage supplies up to 100 A of continuous current to the connected servo motor. Pulse-width modulation runs at 4 kHz, which balances dynamic torque response against switching loss during normal operation. The supply circuit must deliver 11 kVA so the converter can follow rapid acceleration commands without input voltage sag. Cooling relies on natural heat dissipation, and installation requires 80 mm of free space above and below the housing to preserve airflow through the cabinet. During regenerative braking, the internal resistor continuously absorbs 0.5 kW and can withstand a peak of 18 kW to protect the DC bus from overvoltage. Total conversion losses are limited to 480 W, which is useful when sizing cabinet ventilation and heat removal. The enclosure has an IP10 rating, so the drive must be mounted inside a closed electrical cabinet to keep dust and liquids away from live sections.
