Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W100A-DL01-01-FW is a digital servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. Within an automation cell, this unit interfaces with a motion controller, converts three-phase mains power to regulated DC, and modulates that energy into pulse-width-controlled output for synchronous or induction servomotors. It supports closed-loop positioning, velocity, and torque tasks in conveyors, pick-and-place actuators, and similar machinery that require repeatable dynamic response.
The drive accepts a supply of 3x 230 V AC ±10% and rectifies it to an internal bus of 300 V DC, while its output stage can deliver a rated armature current of 100 A. Motor voltage is switched at a carrier frequency of 4 kHz, which balances acoustic noise with switching losses. Continuous regenerative energy is dissipated by the integrated bleeder resistor, which absorbs 0.5 kW so the DC link remains within safe limits during braking cycles. Heat from the semiconductors is removed by natural cooling, and operation is permitted up to 55 °C ambient when derating rules are applied and up to 1000 m elevation without derating. Humidity tolerance meets class F, the sound pressure level is standard for cabinet-mounted equipment, and the drive is Version 1 with the control logic and connector layout used in this series.
Short bursts of mechanical deceleration raise regenerative energy, so the bleeder can momentarily handle 18 kW. Under maximum loading, internal losses reach 480 W, which must be removed to keep the heat sink temperature within limits. The mains side may draw up to 11 kVA, which is important for circuit breaker and cable sizing. External contamination protection is limited to the IP 10 enclosure, so the unit must be installed inside a clean switchgear cabinet.
