Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W050A-RS53-01-FW is a digital servo drive created by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It is intended for MDD synchronous motors and converts three-phase line power into a regulated DC bus and PWM inverter output for precise position and velocity control in automated machinery. A built-in resolver interface closes the feedback loop, allowing the drive to respond to changing load conditions during motion. The unit serves as the link between the motion controller and the mechanical axis, so commanded movement can be translated into controlled motor operation.
The drive accepts a line supply of 3× 230 V AC, and its rectifier generates a stabilized DC bus of 300 V. Continuous armature current reaches 25 A, and the drive can handle transient demands of up to 50 A for short acceleration periods. Pulse-width modulation operates at 4 kHz, which helps balance current ripple and switching losses during normal operation. The drive has a maximum device loss of 305 W, and passive heat dissipation removes that heat during operation. Its IP10 protection rating means the unit is intended for installation inside a control cabinet, where the enclosure can provide the added protection and airflow needed for reliable service.
Regenerative energy is managed by an integrated bleeder resistor that absorbs 0.35 kW continuously and up to 9.4 kW in short bursts during deceleration. Operation without derating is permitted up to an ambient temperature of 55 °C and an elevation of 1000 m. Above those limits, output must be reduced to protect the power section from excessive thermal stress. Humidity class F under DIN 40 040 allows use where relative humidity reaches 95% as long as condensation is avoided. Noise emission remains in the standard range for cabinet-installed equipment, which suits typical industrial control panels and enclosed machine assemblies.
