The DKS01.1-W050A-RS18-02-FW is a digital servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. Acting between a higher-level motion controller and a servo motor, it modulates voltage and current according to resolver feedback so that position and speed follow commanded profiles. Because the drive delivers closed-loop regulation rather than open-loop excitation, it is applied in pick-and-place stations, carton formers, and general automation axes where repeatable motion is required.

This model connects to a three-phase mains supply of 3x 230 V ±10%; inside the converter, the DC bus is held at 300 V for energy storage and switching. Power devices are pulsed at 4 kHz, a frequency that balances switching losses with current ripple in typical inductive loads. Continuous output current is 25 A, providing thermal headroom for steady operation, while peak current reaches 50 A during acceleration bursts. Resolver feedback is accepted directly, eliminating the need for external interpolation hardware. A dynamic bleeder resistor shunts regenerated energy, handling 0.35 kW continuously and up to 9.4 kW during rapid deceleration to protect the DC link. Rated service begins at a minimum ambient of +5 °C, with permissible operation up to 55 °C when current is derated.
