Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DKS01.1-W050A-RS18-01, part of the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. This compact 11 kg unit functions as a digital servo drive. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a controlled DC bus and a pulse-width-modulated output, providing closed-loop torque and speed regulation for resolver-feedback servomotors used in industrial positioning axes. Its control structure supports accurate motion in applications that require stable response during acceleration, deceleration, and speed holding.
The drive connects to a three-phase supply of 3 × 230 V AC ±10% at 50/60 Hz through terminals protected to IP10. It draws 50 A of continuous line current and can deliver a peak phase current of 50 A to the motor. Both its apparent and rated power requirements are 9.5 kVA, feeding an internal DC link stabilized at 300 V DC. An external bus at the same voltage lets multiple drives share returned energy during coordinated motion, which helps limit wasted braking energy in multi-axis systems. Resolver feedback is processed by version 1 control electronics, and the standard-noise design uses passive heat dissipation to keep semiconductor temperatures within limits.
Thermal performance and installation limits support continuous operation. At maximum load, the inverter losses, excluding the braking network, reach 305 W, which are removed by natural heat dissipation through the housing. Dynamic deceleration energy is absorbed by a bleeder that handles 0.35 kW continuously and up to 9.4 kW in short pulses. The power stage switches at 4 kHz, balancing motor smoothness with switching loss in the power electronics. The unit operates in ambient temperatures up to 55 °C and at installation altitudes up to 1000 m without derating. Humidity class F under DIN 40040 and standard acoustic emission support cabinet installation.
