Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W050A-RS18-00 is a digital servo drive built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. In motion-control cabinets, the unit regulates torque and speed for resolver-equipped motors used on packaging lines, pick-and-place axes, and general automation cells. It serves as the power and control stage between the supply and the motor, converting incoming electrical power into regulated output for closed-loop motion. An IP10 housing and a passive heat-dissipation cooling scheme allow the drive to sit in protected electrical enclosures while the control electronics manage motor feedback, switching, and dynamic braking functions.
The drive can supply a continuous phase current of 50 A to the motor when connected to a three-phase mains of 3× 230 V (±10%) at a line frequency of 50–60 Hz. Internally, a DC bus of 300 V feeds the inverter section that modulates output with a carrier frequency of 4 kHz. This pulse-width modulation helps produce smoother motor torque during acceleration and steady-speed operation. Resolver feedback supplies rotor position data to the control loop so the drive can respond accurately to changing load conditions. Maximum power loss at rated load is limited to 305 W, and excess thermal energy leaves the housing through passive heat sinks.
The braking resistor handles short bursts of 9.4 kW and can continuously discharge 0.35 kW, preventing DC bus overvoltage during rapid deceleration. Rated operation is maintained between +5 to +45 °C, and the drive shuts off at an absolute ambient temperature of 55 °C. If the surrounding temperature rises above the rated range, the output is reduced to protect internal components. Storage and transport are permissible from -30 to +85 °C, helping protect the electronics during non-operational handling. The unit is intended for dry control-room installation, and its noise output is standard for this drive class.
