Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W050A-RL04-01-FW is a digital servo drive built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. In an automation cell, it receives three-phase mains power, rectifies it to an internal DC link, and then delivers pulse-width-modulated current to a servomotor so that position and speed follow the controller’s commands. Resolver feedback from the connected motor is processed in real time, allowing the unit to close the loop without external transducers and maintain stable motion control during changing load conditions.
The drive accepts an input of 3 × 230 V AC with a ±10% line tolerance and rectifies it to 300 V DC on the bus. Its power stage is clocked at 4 kHz, a frequency chosen to balance switching losses with current ripple. Rated output current is 50 A, while the continuous current limit is 25 A for applications that draw less than peak torque for long periods. Regenerative energy is dissipated through an internal bleeder rated at 0.35 kW continuously and capable of 9.4 kW momentarily during fast decelerations. Heat generated by the semiconductors and the bleeder is removed by passive cooling, and acoustic noise remains within the standard classification.
The drive operates between +5 °C and +45 °C without derating, and its output is still available, though reduced, up to +55 °C. Installation is permitted to 1,000 m above sea level with no loss of capacity. Total input demand reaches 9.5 kVA at maximum load, and thermal losses at that point are limited to 305 W. Protection category IP10 indicates finger-safe openings but no protection against dust or water, so the unit must be mounted inside a suitable cabinet. Storage can be as low as −30 °C and as high as +85 °C, and the fixed PWM pattern keeps switching behavior consistent during operation.
