Product Description:

In the DKS01.1-W050A-RA02-02-FW, the DKS digital servo drive, as well as the MDD digital AC servo motor, combine together to form a complete drive system. A fully configured servo drive contains  the basic command interface card, servo drive unit, one software module, an auxiliary plug-in card, and a configuration label. The software module makes sure that when hardware gets replaced, the previously entered parameters can be utilized in the new hardware by simply plugging in the available software module.

The analog diagnostics outputs are measuring points that are used to generate the values within the drive for various test purposes. The start inhibit gives protection to make sure that the motor does not start unintentionally when a fault occurs.  AS+ and AS controls input commands for the relay coil Voltage from 20 V to 30 V DC and 1.5 W power and ASQ for a contact that is free of potential, which informs about the activation of the start inhibit to an external controller.

In ungrounded 3-phase power systems, the phase voltage is present when there is a short-circuit between the housing and the power connection of the DKS. The safety of the transformer can be ensured against overload by using certain circuit breakers or fuses. Make sure to use only service class GL time-delay fuses. The rated current of the fuses must not be less than thrice the transformer’s primary current. The internal bus is shorted to ensure safety. This provides a braking mechanism to the drives in the event of mishaps in the drive‘s electronic system. Dynamic braking will always stop MDD motors from braking irrespective of the functionality of the electronic circuitry on the drive. An error message from the DKS (Bb contact), an error message from the NC control (servo error), or the tripping of limit switches forces the main contactor to be shut down, and this triggers dynamic braking. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
