Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W050A-RA01-00 is a digital servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. In an automation cell, it acts as the power stage between a motion controller and a servo motor. It converts incoming three-phase energy into controlled AC output so that speed, torque, and position commands can be followed accurately on packaging, handling, and assembly axes. This arrangement supports repeatable motion during indexing, speed regulation, and frequent start-stop operation in automated machinery.
At the power interface, the drive accepts 3x 230 V AC from plant mains operating at 50–60 Hz. A front-end rectifier raises this supply to a stabilized DC bus of 300 V, and insulated-gate transistors switch the link at 4 kHz to create a sinusoidal motor waveform. The current loop can supply up to 50 A continuously, enabling medium-power servomotors to accelerate connected loads without stalling. Thermal energy created by switching is removed by heat dissipation fins. This passive cooling method allows cabinet mounting, while the enclosure has an IP10 rating and standard noise emission. The unit is version 1.
Regenerated energy is routed into an internal braking resistor whose continuous rating is 0.35 kW and whose short-term capacity reaches 9.4 kW, which helps prevent overvoltage on the DC link during rapid deceleration. Even at maximum load, the converter’s own heat release does not exceed 305 W, while the upstream feeder must deliver up to 9.5 kVA to cover simultaneous torque demand and bleeder duty. Full output is available up to +55 °C ambient and 1000 m elevation, so additional derating is not required in most factory environments. The drive can also share a common DC bus with other DKS axes installed in the same cabinet.
