The DKS01.1-W050A-R is a digital servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. In automated machinery, the unit regulates torque, speed, and position of compatible servo motors through closed-loop resolver feedback. By pairing with a higher-level motion controller, it converts three-phase mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output suitable for precision axis control on packaging lines, material-handling stations, and general-purpose assembly cells.
Electrically, the drive accepts a nominal supply of 3×230 V AC at 50 to 60 Hz and internally rectifies it to 300 V DC on the power bus. Continuous output capability is 25 A, allowing sustained operation near rated motor load, while momentary acceleration or deceleration commands can be handled with a peak of 50 A. A fixed switching rate of 4 kHz shapes the output waveform and influences motor acoustic behavior as well as the drive's thermal profile. Resolver signals enter through the RSF interface, and the control circuit processes that feedback in real time for closed-loop operation. At maximum load, the electronics dissipate 305 W, so cabinet ventilation must accommodate this heat along with the unit's conduction-based cooling path.
The integrated brake chopper is rated for 9.4 kW of peak regeneration and 0.35 kW continuously, preventing DC-bus overvoltage during abrupt stops without external hardware. The permitted operating range is +5 to +45 °C, while storage is allowed from -30 to +85 °C and installation heights up to 1000 m do not require derating. The housing has an IP10 protection rating, which indicates open-frame construction intended for installation inside a closed control cabinet.
