Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W050A-DS29-01 is a digital servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It serves as the link between motion controllers and servomotors by modulating current and voltage for precise speed, torque, and position control. This makes the unit suitable for automated assembly cells, packaging stations, and other industrial axes that require repeatable motion.
It accepts a three-phase supply of 3x 230 V AC ±10%, so it can be connected directly to common factory power networks. The permitted line frequency range of 50–60 Hz keeps the rectifier section synchronized with both European and North American grids. Inside the drive, the supply is converted to 300 V DC, which forms the shared DC bus for the inverter stage. Transistors switch this bus at 4 kHz, generating a pulse-width-modulated waveform that the motor averages into smooth torque. Under continuous operation, the inverter can deliver 50 A, a value suited to medium-frame servomotors and rapid axis acceleration. Its maximum electrical demand reaches 9.5 kVA, and heat is removed without forced airflow.
To manage regenerated energy, the integral bleeder resistor dissipates 0.35 kW continuously and can absorb peaks up to 9.4 kW during rapid deceleration. At full electrical load, internal losses reach 305 W, so the installation must allow unobstructed convection surfaces around the unit. The housing has an IP10 rating, which means the drive should be installed in a closed control cabinet that meets the F (DIN 40 040) humidity category. Reliable performance is maintained up to 45 °C ambient, and operation can extend to 55 °C with linear derating. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level without current reduction, and the Version 1 design uses the DS29 signal interface.
