Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W050A-DA06-01-FW digital servo drive is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. Intended for closed-loop motion control in multi-axis machinery, the unit conditions three-phase mains power, modulates it through an internal inverter, and delivers regulated current to a matched servo motor. By combining the controller and power stage into one housing, the drive simplifies cabinet layout while retaining parameter memory and diagnostic functions needed for automated production lines.
Electrical operation centers on a three-phase supply of 3 x 230 VAC (±10%), which is rectified to an internal bus of 300 VDC. Under rated conditions, the inverter supplies 50 A of drive current at a gate-switching rate of 4 kHz, allowing smooth torque production with acceptable acoustic levels. Continuous apparent power is 25 kVA, while instantaneous demand can climb to 9.5 kVA at maximum load. Dissipated energy is handled by a resistor network that absorbs 0.35 kW continuously and up to 9.4 kW during rapid deceleration, and residual heat exits through natural heat dissipation because no forced-air module is fitted. Overall device power loss reaches 305 W when the output stage is fully loaded. Protection class IP 10 gives finger-safe openings, noise emission is standard, and the drive is released as Version 1 within the series.
The thermal envelope supports full current up to +55 °C, after which derating is required to avoid overtemperature trips. Installation altitude can reach 1000 m without performance reduction, and above that point current limits must be applied. Storage down to -30 °C is permissible, which helps preserve component reliability while the unit is not in service. With simple heat dissipation as its cooling method, the drive relies on adequate cabinet airflow to keep semiconductor junctions within safe limits.
