It supplies regulated three-phase power to synchronous motors and returns position data through a DSF resolver encoder, allowing closed-loop motion in automated handling, packaging, and assembly lines. Within an installation, the drive converts the incoming mains, forms a dedicated DC bus, and modulates output current so that motor speed and torque follow the programmed trajectory. This closed-loop arrangement helps the axis correct load-related speed changes during acceleration and deceleration.
This unit draws a nominal supply of 3 x 230 V AC (±10%) at an input frequency of 50–60 Hz. Inside the converter, power is rectified to a stabilized bus of 300 V DC, which is switched through IGBT stages at a pulse-width modulation rate of 4 kHz. The power section can deliver a rated output current of 50 A to the motor terminals, while the internal design limits continuous current on the DC bus to 25 A. Those electrical limits describe the loading the power section can support during normal operation. The noise emission is standard, and heat is removed by natural dissipation through the housing fins, so no forced-air module is required in the panel.
Excess regenerative energy is handled by an integrated bleeder resistor that can dissipate 0.35 kW continuously and up to 9.4 kW in short peaks, preventing the DC link from rising too high during rapid deceleration. The bleeder circuit absorbs returned energy during braking, which reduces the chance of overvoltage faults when inertial loads slow quickly. The drive maintains full performance from +5 to +45 °C; above this range, output is derated until the specified ceiling of +55 °C. Protection class IP10 limits the device to clean control cabinets, and operation without derating is limited to 1000 m above sea level. Additional parameters include humidity class F, a maximum storage range of -30 to +85 °C, and worst-case internal losses of 305 W, which help size enclosures and cooling paths accurately.
