Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W030B-RL21-01-FW is a digital servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It serves as the control interface between an automation controller and an MDD synchronous servo motor, issuing current-regulated commands that govern torque and velocity profiles. Resolver feedback closes the position and speed loops during operation, allowing the drive to correct deviations as the mechanical load changes. This arrangement makes the unit suitable for coordinated servo motion where accurate response is required across changing duty cycles. The unit is Version 1.
This drive operates from a nominal line supply of 230 V AC and accepts either 1- or 3-phase input power. Internally, the power section maintains a 300 V DC bus and switches at 18 kHz to form pulse-width-modulated output waveforms for the motor. The power stage can deliver up to 30 A of motor current, which supports controlled acceleration and steady torque production within the drive's operating range. Heat from the IGBTs is removed through passive cooling, so cabinet airflow must remain unobstructed around the heat-dissipation path. The housing has an IP10 rating, and the unit remains suitable for installation altitudes up to 1000 m.
During deceleration, energy is routed to a bleeder resistor rated for 0.3 kW continuously and 0.5 kW at peak load, which helps prevent overvoltage on the shared DC bus. Safe operating limits extend to ambient temperatures of 55 °C when derating rules are followed, allowing the unit to remain in service in warm control cabinets. The enclosure depth is 260 mm, which helps the drive fit into shallow cabinets without extra spacing at the rear. Low noise emission also supports use in enclosed electrical cabinets where quieter operation is preferred during normal machine duty.
