The DKS01.1-W030B-RL08-01-FW is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. The unit serves as the regulated power interface between the plant mains and a synchronous servo motor, shaping current and voltage in real time to meet motion commands in automated assembly lines and material-handling systems. The Version 1 unit incorporates a cabinet-mounted heat sink and an integrated bleeder circuit, so regenerated energy is redirected rather than returned to the supply.

The drive accepts a line supply of 230 V AC ±10% and synchronizes with mains frequencies of 50–60 Hz. Incoming power is rectified onto a bus held at 300 V DC, which also feeds the internal DC link that supplies the IGBT bridge. That bridge is pulse-width modulated at 18 kHz, reducing audible switching harmonics while improving current resolution. Continuous output capability reaches 30 A, allowing the device to energize medium-frame Indramat motors without derating when ambient temperature is at or below +45 °C. Excess heat is removed through passive dissipation at the mounting surface, and overall noise remains low because no forced-air fan is present.

During rapid deceleration, the bleeder resistor dissipates regenerative energy. Its continuous rating is 0.3 kW, and it withstands surges up to 5 kW to prevent DC-bus overvoltage. The housing carries an IP10 ingress protection rating under DIN 40050, so it must be installed inside a closed cabinet while still providing finger-safe shielding of live parts. Full current is available at elevations up to 1000 m without further derating, provided cabinet convection and the specified supply impedance are maintained.
