The DKS01.1-W030B-RL03-01-FW is a digital servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It interfaces between a motion controller and an Indramat permanent-magnet motor, converting command signals into regulated three-phase output so that closed-loop velocity and position can be achieved in industrial automation axes. All output transistors are clocked at a carrier of 18 kHz, giving fine current resolution and limiting audible noise from the connected machine.

The drive provides a differential reference of ±10 V DC on its analog command channel, while its monitoring channel sources up to 4 mA for status feedback to external indicators or PLC inputs. Motor torque is supplied from a continuous phase current of 30 A, drawn from a shared DC link that is maintained at 300 V. A forced-convection heat sink carries away the losses introduced by switching, and supplementary cooling air can be routed across the fins when the cabinet temperature rises toward the 55 °C derating point.

A dynamic braking resistor inside the unit absorbs regenerative energy with a peak capability of 5 kW; during steady braking events, the internal bleeder limits itself to 0.3 kW so that component temperatures stay within design margins. When delivering full current on a three-phase mains supply, conduction and switching losses total 230 W, a figure used to size enclosure ventilation. The housing meets IP10, indicating finger-safe openings without sealing against dust, so the unit must be mounted in a filtered control cabinet not higher than the specified 1000 m elevation. Ambient operation can continue up to 55 °C with linear derating, and line reactors may be added if the 75 m maximum motor-cable length is approached or if supply current rises toward the 16 A single-phase or 12 A three-phase input limits.
