Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W030B-RL01-01-FW is a digital servo drive from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. In automation cells, it energizes and controls synchronous or induction servomotors by converting fixed-frequency mains power into a DC link and pulse-width-modulated output phases. This allows closed-loop position and velocity regulation through resolver feedback. The unit serves as a motion-axis amplifier in material handling, packaging, and machine-tool systems where fast dynamic response and integrated braking capability help manage regenerated energy during deceleration.
The drive accepts a single-phase or three-phase supply of 230 V AC (±10%) and generates an intermediate circuit of 300 V DC through its internal rectifier. Output current is limited to 30 A, which supports medium-power servo applications and helps determine suitable motor and cable selection. The power stage switches at a carrier frequency of 18 kHz, which reduces audible noise and improves current resolution during low-speed operation. Regenerative energy peaks are directed to an onboard resistor that can absorb up to 5 kW, protecting the DC bus from overvoltage during rapid braking. The resolver interface uses DSF-format signals so the controller can process rotor position feedback without an external encoder module.
For repeated braking cycles, the resistor supports 0.3 kW of continuous dissipation, and excess heat is removed by a passive heat-dissipation plate instead of forced ventilation. The electronics can operate at temperatures up to 55 °C when output is derated, and installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level without performance loss. The IP10 housing is intended for cabinet mounting where additional shielding is already present. The drive operates on mains frequencies of 50–60 Hz, and its lower switching noise makes it suitable for production areas where reduced acoustic output is preferred.
