Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W030B-RA01-01 digital servo drive is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. Acting as the power and control interface for resolver-equipped servo motors, it converts incoming AC energy to a regulated DC bus and delivers pulse-width-modulated phases while monitoring feedback. This integration of power conversion, braking energy management, and closed-loop regulation enables accurate velocity and position control in assembly lines, packaging equipment, and similar automated stations. The drive is suited to servo axes that need stable acceleration, repeatable indexing, and controlled stopping under changing load conditions.
It connects to a three-phase mains feed at 230 V ±10% and draws up to 30 A of line current at rated load. Inside the chassis, a link circuit maintains 300 V on the DC bus, and this voltage is switched at a carrier of 18 kHz to support smooth motor current and low acoustic output. Frequency compatibility spans 50/60 Hz supplies, so the unit can operate on common industrial power systems without a separate frequency conversion stage. Regenerative energy is dissipated through an internal resistor able to absorb 0.3 kW continuously, which helps prevent bus overvoltage during deceleration. Heat from the power stage is removed by passive cooling, eliminating the need for forced airflow. Position feedback is processed through a resolver interface for closed-loop speed and position regulation.
Continuous operation is rated to +45 °C, with derating permitted up to +55 °C. Sites up to 1000 m elevation do not require current reduction, and humidity class F allows high moisture levels as long as condensation is avoided. The housing is rated IP10, so the unit must be installed inside a control cabinet to prevent contact with energized parts. During rapid braking, the bleeder can momentarily dissipate 5 kW, supporting short deceleration events without tripping the DC bus. Reduced noise emission helps the drive fit applications where quieter cabinet operation is preferred.
