Product Description:
The DKS01.1-W030B-DS45-00-FW is a digital servo drive from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. As a closed-loop controller, it regulates torque, speed, and position for synchronous or induction servomotors used in automated handling stations, packaging units, and machining centers. Version 1 electronics, reduced-noise circuitry, and passive heat dissipation make it suitable for installations where forced ventilation is not available. Humidity class C operation indicates that the unit is intended for installation inside a protected electrical cabinet.
It accepts a three-phase supply of 230 V AC ±10% and converts that input to an internal link voltage of 300 V DC. This DC bus powers the output transistors that energize the motor phases during closed-loop operation. The drive can deliver 30 A RMS, so axes that require that continuous current can run without derating at 45 °C ambient. Pulse-width modulation operates at 18 kHz, moving switching noise above most audible frequencies while improving current resolution. A built-in bleeder resistor dissipates 0.3 kW continuously to control regenerative energy returned by decelerating loads.
During rapid stops, the same resistor can absorb up to 5 kW for short periods, which helps protect the DC bus from overvoltage. The drive maintains full output up to a cabinet temperature of 45 °C, and output is reduced linearly as temperature rises toward the 55 °C upper limit. Operation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m without derating, so cooling remains effective within the stated installation range. The enclosure has a protection class of IP10, which guards against accidental contact with live parts and requires cabinet installation for broader environmental protection. Storage is allowed between -30 °C and +85 °C, keeping the electronics within the stated thermal limits when the unit is not in service.
