The DKS01.1-W030B-DS01-01 digital servo drive is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It connects directly to factory mains, rectifies the incoming power, stores that energy on an internal DC bus, and then switches it to the motor phases through pulse-width modulation. Paired with DSF feedback, the drive provides position-regulated torque for axes used in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. Its compact housing supports cabinet installation where space is limited while still providing the signal conditioning needed for stable motion control.

It accepts a three-phase supply of 3x 230 V AC and maintains an intermediate circuit at 300 V DC for energy storage and regeneration. The power stage delivers 30 A of continuous output and operates with an 18 kHz PWM carrier, which helps keep current ripple low even at slow motor speeds. Surplus kinetic energy is diverted to an integrated braking resistor that dissipates 0.3 kW continuously and up to 5 kW during short deceleration events, helping prevent overvoltage on the DC bus. Heat from the IGBTs and braking section is removed through natural heat dissipation, which helps reduce audible noise during operation. The drive also supports DSF encoder signals, allowing simplified feedback cabling while maintaining accurate position information.

The housing has an IP10 rating, so the drive must be installed inside a clean electrical enclosure with forced airflow. Rated performance is available up to +45 °C, and linear derating is permitted until the internal temperature reaches the allowed service limit of +55 °C. Operation is unrestricted below 1000 m elevation, while higher altitudes require reduced current and power to keep semiconductor temperatures under control. For shipment or spare storage, the unit tolerates temperatures from -30 °C to +85 °C, which helps protect the control electronics during seasonal temperature swings.
